The MBW Calibration 473 dew point hygrometer features cable mounted measuring heads that allow the user to measure directly within the application environment, and includes a temperature probe as standard. The 473 is able to calculate, display and output relative humidity.
MBW chilled mirror hygrometers provide precise, stable and repeatable measurement results. The 473 utilizes high quality materials and precision engineering have a service life of more than 15 years. The platinum resistance thermometer (PRT) element that is embedded within the mirror ensures measurement stability over a long period of time.
MBW's ForceFrost™ function over-cools the mirror to force the condensed layer to the solid phase when the temperature falls below a user defined limit. This eliminates the uncertainty of whether dew or frost point is measured.
Three different measuring heads with 2m connecting cables are available.
SH2 Measuring Head
Flow-through dew point measuring head with a 2-stage Peltier element for mirror temperature control. Includes a calibrated temperature probe for connecting to either the measuring head or the back panel of the 473. The included variable speed fan pulls a consistent airflow across the mirror. With the fan removed, the user can also connect the SH2 to applications using tubing and standard 6mm or 1/4in fittings.
RP2 Measuring Head
A 2-stage Peltier element in a compact probe that includes a connection for temperature measurement. It is supplied with a calibrated head mounted temperature probe and an extension cable to enable optimum placement for your application.
SHX Measuring Head
Chilled mirror dew point head designed for high temperature applications. It incorporates a sample fan with controllable speed to maintain stable and precise flow within the recommended range of 0.3 to 1lpm at atmospheric pressure. A high temperature motor is combined with an aluminum impeller/cowl to maintain a reliable and stable sample flow. The flow rate can be changed through serial commands that are entered via the front panel of the 473.
