Carlo Gavazzi RSE series motor controllers are compact and easy-to-use for soft starting/stopping, dynamic braking, and reversing of three phase squirrel cage motors.
Soft start and soft stop Carlo Gavazzi RSE Series motor controllers can be adjusted for ramp up time, ramp down time, and initial starting torque. This allows the system to be adjusted to fit your application. If the system moves components on a belt or conveyor line, the Carlo Gavazzi RSE series motor controller's adjustments will allow you to prevent spilled, toppled, or ruptured components that are normally associated with sudden motor starts and stops.
There are many advantages to the Carlo Gavazzi RSE series motor controller's motor soft start and soft stop feature. Sudden and jerky starting and stopping of the motor causes premature wear on many system components. Starting of motors with RSE soft start and soft stop reduces the mechanical load on motors, shafts, gearboxes, and drive belts. The lifetime of equipment controlled by the Carlo Gavazzi RSE series motor controller is thereby substantially increased and the cost of maintenance is reduced.
The Carlo Gavazzi RSE series motor controller is available with a ramp characteristic suited to starting both compressors and pumps. It also includes a 'Kick-Start' feature to start loads with a higher break-away torque.
