The Fluke Calibration 4180/4181 Series Infrared Calibrator's (formerly Hart Scientific) are enough to use in the field and accurate enough to use in the lab. High accuracy, advanced features, and versatility makes the 4180/4181 Series the perfect solution for testing and calibrating any infrared thermometer or thermal imager within its temperature range.

The 4180/4181 Series features a large, six inch target designed to accommodate the field of view and calibration geometry requirements of common infrared thermometers that will not accurately test with smaller targets. The 4180 has a temperature range from –15°C to 120°C while the 4181 infrared calibrator has a temperature range from 35°C to 500°C.

The 4180/4181 Series uniformity and stability ensure that variations can't be detected with a thermal imager. In addition, with accuracies as good as ±0.35°C, the 4180/4181 Series can meet its specifications without additional emissivity-related corrections, leading to legitimate test uncertainty ratios (TUR) as good as 4:1.

The LCD display of the 4180/4181 Series continuously shows the current temperature. The temperature may be easily set with the control buttons to any desired temperature within the specified range. A unique safety feature shows the user when the target temperature is above 50°C letting the user know when it is safe to place the target cover on the instrument and/or move it to a different location. The 4180/4181 Series indicator remains illuminated when the instrument is energized and above 50°C, but with mains power removed, it will flash until the target temperature drops below 50°C. This feature makes the 4180/4181 the safest IR calibrators available.

The 4180/4181 Series include an accredited radiometric calibration report, target cover, user guide, and 9930 Interface-it software with user guide.
